Janita Van Dyk is a PhD candidate in anthropology and food studies at the University of Toronto. She is also a professional editor. 

​

Her dissertation, Food Tempos: Making Time, Food, and Value, examines the changing social and economic dynamics of growing and eating artisan foods in Northern Italy amidst climate change and job precarity. She currently serves as the Reviews Editor for Gastronomica: The Journal for Food Studies.
