ACADEMIC EDITING

I offer substantive editing, copy editing, and proofreading services to develop and finalize social sciences and humanities research publications and other documents. These include:

• Academic admissions materials (such as Letters of Intent, Research Statements, Cover Letters for graduate school)

• Grants and fellowship applications

• Thesis and dissertation chapter drafts

• Research article manuscripts

• Conference abstracts, papers, and slides

 

RATES

Based on the service(s) requested, my sliding scale rates are determined by household income. This sliding scale system maximizes my ability to offer editorial services to low-income and/or marginalized students.

EXPERIENCE

My rates stem from 10+ years of editorial work (volunteer and paid) for academic publications, including Gastronomica: The Journal for Food Studies, the Society for Cultural Anthropology's Fieldsights section "Member Voices," and Contingent Horizons: The York University Student Journal for Anthropology. Since 2017, I have also drafted, revised, and edited literature reviews, research articles, and grant applications as a research assistant.
